Monday Morning Sun
www.myspace.com/mondaymorningsun
Monday Morning Sun was formed in 2006 by two members of the Oxford hardcore experimentalists Xmas Lights. Taking their diverse influences the duo make music which meshes shades of light, emotion and drawn-out tension.
MMS was born from an admiration of psychedelic, ambient, dub, trip hop and mind-numbing guitar driven music, with lyrics pondering personal yet universal themes.
MMS is set to release several EPs of material and an album in the coming months. Live performance around the country will commence in Jan 2009.

Witches
www.myspace.com/witchesband
A complex, multi-instrumentalist take on the dark-edged pop music of bands like Sparklehorse and American Music Club, but managing to develop a sound all of their own, with fragile vocals delivering strange, sinister lyrics, growling guitars, creepy rhythms, trumpet and glockenspiel.

Silent Alliance
www.myspace.com/silentalliance
In an alternative music scene dominated by style-over-substance monotone indie rock, Silent Alliance stand out as one of the few bands that can truly claim to be a unique proposition. Silent Alliance have created an intelligent, guitar-driven pop sound that combines both the euphoric and hugely danceable with the reflective and melancholic. It's a sound inspired by some of the greatest pioneers of pop music - New Order, The Smiths, Depeche Mode - each given an explosive, adrenaline-fuelled kick onto the dancefloor.
